I grew up in a family where weight is a struggle and obesity is norm! My mom’s physical ability was hindered by her weight my whole life and my dad has since become a self induced diabetic. As a child one of the most prominent memories I have, is watching TV at 9 years old, upstairs alone in our game room, and being mesmerized by the Fitness America Pageants and American Gladiator women. I was captivated. I idolized them! I knew I wanted to be just like them but thought with my genetics it would NEVER happen. After College I got up to 215lbs and decided NO MORE! I did not want that life. I wanted to change. I dieted down and got to a healthy weight. I decided I loved the Fitness industry and I wanted to help others fall in love with it as well. I went to get my Personal Training Certification and had the pleasure of meeting great people with the same mind set. I surrounded myself with people who loved health and fitness and made it their life. After my older sister passed away I realized I only get one life and it was time to start living my dream. I was going to get in shape like those girls I idolized on TV and on American Gladiators. With the help of a great friend of mine, I decided I would do a fitness competition. Around that same time I met my husband who was a competitive bodybuilder and he help paved my way into the NPC. He introduced me to a great nutritionist Mark Hacker, who in turn set up a meeting with Adela, whom he knew well. With that combination of meeting the right people at the right time, I was on my way to finding my abs and training for my first show. Once I did I could never look back.

I competed in fitness and figure for my first show, and then decided to focus on fitness alone. I did well and even competed nationally in 2007 at Team Universe. I took a break after Team Universe because I got pregnant with my Daughter 2 weeks after that show. When it was time to start back up I decided to focus solely on Figure and I think I have found my niche. I came back after pregnancy to see if I could bounce back into the shape I used to be in. Well I proved to myself that I could and then some. I had more time to focus on weaknesses in my physique, perfect my posing, and pay more attention to my overall package. My first show back was the largest Texas State Championships to date. I competed against over 65 girls in figure to win my class and then the Figure Overall Title. I recently re-enlisted the help again from Adela, and the O.F.F. Team to see where I can go from here. My next competition with be the Arnold Amateur, and from there the sky is the limit!
