NESHMAYDA ROJAS

My name is Neshmayda Rojas and I am 28 years old. I was born in North Carolina, but am of Puerto Rican descent. I have grown up all over the world having been a “military brat” and now live in Austin, Texas. I went to school at the University of Texas at Austin where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences. Shortly after graduating from college, I began working as a Parent Educator where I educate parents on the many activities and experiences that they can do with their children to help prepare them for kindergarten. I have always had a love for working with young children and their families and believe that I have been blessed with the best job in the world.

I am happily married and recently had a beautiful little girl of my own. Shortly after having my daughter, I was not happy with all of the weight that I had put on during my pregnancy. This is what motivated me to workout and get in shape so that I could lose all of the pregnancy weight. I approached my younger sister, first IFBB Bikini Pro Shelsea Montes, since she had a lot of experience with dieting and exercising to see how I should go about losing the weight. She has helped me change my eating habits and encouraged me to visit the gym more frequently. She has definitely been an inspiration to me and is constantly motivating me to continue with my new lifestyle. It is because of Shelsea that I met Adela Garcia, and I am now training with her to compete at my first NPC bikini competition in September 2010. I know with all of the support that I am receiving from so many dedicated and encouraging individuals, such as Adela and Shelsea, that I am going to be very successful.

Working out and dieting has become part of my lifestyle now. It’s quite addicting actually, especially after having lost over 30 pounds. I continue to workout at 5 AM every day, so that I can go to work and then come home and spend time with my husband and daughter. I have such a wonderful family and support system that I know I can do whatever it takes to be successful in the new journey I am about to embark in the fitness industry. I know that especially with Adela’s guidance, training, and support that I am able to accomplish great things in this industry. I look forward to continue working with the best of the best, Adela Garcia!!
