I started working out in 2004, I was 145 lbs and 34% body fat. After 9 months of training with a trainer at 24 hour fitness, I lost 30 lbs and was down to around 16% body fat. My trainer entered me into my first figure competition a level 5 , Florida State Championships.

Never having been on stage or competed, I wanted to find someone to help me with my first show. Upon reading the new issue of Oxygen I saw an ariticle that was about someone I had idolized as soon as seeing her body in the pages of several magazines I had read. I remember bringing one of the magazines to my first day at the gym with my trainer and telling him " I want her abs and her ass!", it was Adela Garcia. The article said she gave home boot camps to prepare girls for figure and fitness shows, this was exactly what I needed. Next day I was on the phone and email and in three days I was at Adelas house in Ohio. I had the worst posture, she had me walking around with a book on my head most of the time and trying to get me to stick out a non existant chest that had dissappeared with all the body fat I had lost. We became best of friends, it was meant to be that I read that article and happened to meet my one and only true girlfriend.

She came to my first show, put on my tan, helped me with my suit and makeup and was there to cheer me on in my 2nd place win. I can say after that I was addicted, I wanted to win. She has helped me with all my diets which are amazing and been there to motivate me when I have needed a push, which is constantly. Its six years later, I have many trophies and am now ready to do my first national show and see how I do. I cant thank her enough, my life and body have changed for the better and best, I am 46 years old and feel and look 29. I dont have her abs or ass yet but I'm still working on it! Thanks mama your are and always will be #1 in my eyes.
